iDay
I stopped by the Apple Store in Tyson's Corner
and waited till the appointed hour of 6 p.m. to
purchase an iPhone. The Apple Store staff
brought out Smart Water to all on several
occasions, Duncan Doughnuts brought by coffee
and several merchants were coming through and
talking to folks in line. iDay was fun, it was
history and the takeaway -- a small multi-touh
multifunction device that is phenomenal.

Many iPhone pros and cons have been discussed since Steve Job's keynote announcement in January, but I did not expect the passerby comments like "get a life" or "it's just a phone". Well, I have a life and technology makes it easier to get everything done and good technology is a pleasure to use. Additionally it is more than "just" a phone and I find myself trying to make my mouse (track-pad) behave as a multi-touch device just after a few hours of playing with the iPhone.
Multi-touch will make our lives different, better and offer manipulation of images in ways I can only imagine now. As an artist, I am excited about the technology and can not wait until multi-touch easels, drawing tables and walls are affordable.
